I am deeply disappointed in Bank of America's inclement policies General Shopping Greg Spielberg / 07:43 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2010 / / Report this / Vote this up / 0

Yesterday, Janet wrote about the adult snow day. A few weeks ago, the DUMBO Starbucks closed early because of "inclement" weather. Not a big deal. Yesterday, though, the Lower East Side Bank of America closed at noon because of "inclement" weather. How trendy that term has become. It's like a politician saying she's "deeply disappointed" with her opponent's decision. Inclement, BTW, is just a hyped-up synonym for bad. Except it's used to make the weather sound bureaucratic. "Yeah, sorry, you know that inclement weather. Such an obstructionist."

So what did BOA's inclement policy mean to me? It meant a $35 overdraft fee, 20 minutes virtual chatting with bank rep Ted Liu when I got back home and a return trip to the bank today. I'll have to wait until Monday to find out if my challenge of the overdraft fee will be "accepted."
