Starbucks: I don't like you, but I love you Restaurants/Bars/Takeout Moriah Norris-Hale / 02:30 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2010 / / Report this / Vote this up / 0

Dear Starbucks,

I confess. We got off to a rocky start. Remember in high school when I swore I'd never buy my coffee from you? That I'd only use the independent coffee places? I think my exact words were "You are pure, dripped, evil." Harsh.

And then in college, when I said, "Ok, well maybe that was a bit cruel. Maybe Starbucks, you're all right. But only on road trips and vacation." Those were good times. Nothing beats a vente iced Mocha, with caramel sauce at 80mph.

Then my first days of working 8-5. Where else was I to turn at 7am? You saved me many a morning when there was no where else to go. You woke me up. You brought me to life.

Now a days, I try to be a grown up and make my coffee at home. But I still shell out 4 or 5 dollars every now and then for you. And you know what, SB? It's worth it- every ounce of pure, dripped, evil.

Sincerely,
MNH
