I'm Bored With This Shopping Logan Sachon / 10:21 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 / / Report this / Vote this up / 0

I did a search for my demographic in my city (single female, no kids, 20-40k, PDX) and looked at spending on shopping all through the past year (data is available for sept 08 through oct 09). I felt for sure that shopping spending would be highest in December, because that is when I spend the most money (I'm so good about not buying stuff all through the year, but in the past month I've spent almost $600 on things for other people! But I love to do it because: giving is better than receiving. And also: tradition). Anyway, my spending habits don't seem to jive with other gals my age in PDXl. The highest shopping month on file is the earliest info we have available: September 08, at $561 (which I suppose makes sense since: the recession). December 08 almost hit $500, and the highest month since was June 09, at $430. It'll be interesting to see this month's data when it comes in.
