Sell it or schlep it? Part Six: Pots and pans and kitchen things Logan Sachon / 05:26 PM, Thursday, July 29, 2010 / / Report this / Vote this up / 0

I've been planning out a move from Portland, OR to NYC and deciding what to keep and sell. What's coming with me so far: my bike and my printer. And what's staying: my furniture and my TV. Up today: what should I do with my rarely-used cookware?

As someone who doesn’t cook, I have a pretty good collection of cooking things, including a stainless steal cookware set I found at Marshalls a few years ago for about $75. If I didn’t bring my kitchen supplies with me, I wouldn’t sell them; I’d give them to a friend who loves to cook and is using Ikea stuff (actually, it’s pretty silly that takeout-loving-me hasn’t done this already). Though I will be poor in New York (more poor, even), I can’t imagine I’ll become a gourmet. If I can fit the pots and pans in my bags, I’ll take them, but if it means an extra bag, they’re staying.

Pots and Pans
Sell? No. Donate!
Schlep? $50.
Replace? (Wouldn’t replace!)
Decision: Schlepping, if I can fit it in a bag I’ve already decided to check (maybe the one with my printer?) If not, leaving them here.
