It will be fabulous! Oh, the time we'll have!
The New York Times today reports that we shouldn't go there expecting bargain-basement prices. The housing market is doing"a lot better than expected" in posh vacation towns like Amagansett. According to one appraisal company, the median price of a Hamptons home was $825,000, down 15 percent from its peak in 2007, but about the same as where things were a year prior, in 2006.
