Brag on: Your best bargain ever Shopping Janet Paskin / 04:41 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 / / Report this / Vote this up / 0

Here's the often-overlooked benefit to buying stuff on sale: every time you use or wear the sale thing, or get a compliment on it, you're reminded of what a good deal it was, and you can congratulate yourself for your frugality again. Sometimes, you even get to brag on it a little.

And perhaps more so than usual these days, when bargains abound. Kate's digging through the "couture boutique" section at TJ Maxx. This weekend, I found $70 jeans marked down to $20, maybe my best bargain ever. What's yours?

Usual sale shopping caveats apply: It's not a bargain if you never wear it or use it or didn't need it in the first place. Then it's just spending money.
