From BundleHQ: What have you given away recently?

I live in a little apartment over a little grocery store, and behind the little grocery store is a little cabinet where people bring things they don't want anymore. This is called a free box. This one is rare in its permanence; usually they are just cardboard boxes sitting on street corners, filled with old clothes and books. But back to my free box, the one by my apartment. Rarely is there ever anything there I want, or am willing to touch. Mostly I use the free box to get rid of my own excess things. It's kind of addictive! Bringing bags to Goodwill? Cumbersome! Bringing bags downstairs to the free box? SO EASY. So I guess what I'm saying is that it's very convenient for your psyche and the cleanliness of your mind and home to have an easy and accessible place to get rid of stuff. You should find that place. OM.

And now, some links:

127 comments! SFGate's Dollars and Sense blog posted Bundle's spending stats for San Francisco households, inciting a crazy comment clash! Topics discussed in the comments: median versus mean; I spend more than this data says; I spend less than this data says; San Francisco stereotypes ad nauseam!

What color is your grocery store? Kate Shellnutt gave a shout out to Jeff Balke's post about grocery store personalities, and admitted that her grocery store of choice is the "Disco Kroger." Mine by not-choice is the "One Register Safeway," with the "Too-Expensive Organic Food Co-op" a close second. Et tu?

Fee watch! Justin got peeved about banking and credit card fees and included a warning about a fee that I didn't even know existed: the you-aren't-using-your-credit-card fee. I'm going to hate that fee! I already do hate that fee! I'm changing my life and you're punishing me?! For shame!

Question of the Day: In honor of the free box behind my apartment, what have you given away recently, and why? Comment below or tweet: #itsyoursnow
