From BundleHQ: The answer is three times a year. What's the question?
How I didn't get to work this morning: Commutapult.
Everything I ever needed to know I learned in kindergarten: Mike's recent post about how a good kindergarten teacher can influence earning power two decades after the fact ignited the community over on Digg. Stories of kindergarten-teacher-inflicted trauma abound, including a monkey-coloring debacle and a trip to the principal's office for pretending to cut hair with plastic scissors! And then there are the folks who took the opportunity to raise the issues of teacher pay, others who said the $1,000 salary differential associated with a good teacher isn't enough to write home about ($90/month after taxes?), and still more just encouraged Mike to keep writing about dinosaurs. Yes, Mike, please.
I'm a loser: Not only did I once own of those Sub Pop T-shirts that said LOSER - just like the one Eddie Vedder wore when Pearl Jam played on SNL - but I'm also occasionally careless with my stuff. That's right, an actual loser of things. Judging by the responses to yesterday's question on the site and on Facebook, it happens to the best of us. We've lost four phones, two laptops, a couple of wallets, a wedding ring, a Zegna suit, and assorted other valuable stuff, and we've all survived. Which, I'd say, makes us keepers.
Friendly Friday: This week, we're way into Meaghan O'Connell, Tumblr's director of outreach. And if you haven't visited BundleHQ on Tumblr lately, come say hello . Also, the New York Stock Exchange, not just for rich people anymore! Check out NYSE's MoneySense, which offers a basic personal finance 5-step course (free!), as well as the personal finance journal of the engaging and talented Cassandra Nye. Get smart!
Answer of the day: Due to the success of last week's answer, and because I never know when to say when, today's answer is: Three times a year. What's the question? Comment or tweet #iknow!
