From BundleHQ: Sexy money and a struggling teacher. Plus, tell us: How much have you spent to impress someone?
Yup, that's the kind of mood I'm in. (It's also the poster outside the door to HQ.) It's a don't-mess kind of Friday.
Does money make you hotter? Yes. Yes it does. Yesterday's confession, the comments it generated, and Greg's response post affirmed the obvious. Fortunately for those of us who haven't yet received our AmEx black cards — is it lost in the mail? What? — there are other things that make you hot. Even little, cheap things, like knowing how to make an awesome chocolate-chip cookie or hang a level shelf.
Airline discounts and flexible flights: Highlights from the Twittersphere, in response to yesterday's call for your #cheaptravel tips: Justin (@justintbrown) says online sites will sometimes give you deep discounts on a last-minute airplane ticket if you also book a hotel room; Kate (@kateshellnutt) likes Southwest's Ding! for cheap tickets and liberal cancellation policies.
The post-graduation struggles of an aspiring teacher: Twenty-five years after the fact, I still remember almost all of my elementary school teachers. Of course, as an 8-year-old, I never thought about how much money they made or how hard they worked. Lorei's post offers a stark, but also inspiring, reminder of how hard those folks work for how little. Good luck in New York, Lorei.

More on having kids, having money: I posted a version of "Would not having kids help you save?" on MSN Money's Smart Spending blog, where parents and self-described DINKs (double-income, no kids) explained their choices.Question of the day: Inspired by Greg and the confessions — which, by the way, is what Greg should name his singing group, if he starts one — the question is: Have you ever spent more money than you otherwise would have to impress another person? Tell us your tale in the comments, or hit us on twitter, #bigspender.
