Do the best burgers in San Francisco have loyal diners?

We looked at how frequently New Yorkers returned to their favorite burger establishments, and now it's time to look at the other coast: San Francisco.

We've recently launched our Merchant Recommender for San Francisco, which, among other things, assigns a loyalty score based on how frequently customers return to dine. Essentially, we know where customers are "regulars" based on how they're voting with their wallets.

The nine burger places we looked at were praised on "best lists" by 7X7SF, Gayot, and City's Best. The average loyalty score for restaurants is 52, so any score above that means burger lovers are returning more frequently than normal. Six of the popular burger joints we looked at have higher than average loyalty scores. Here's how S.F.'s most loved burger joints stacked up.
