11 gourmet ice pops you can make this summer

I ate lots of Popsicles as a kid, but gourmet ice-pops are just beginning to appear in Asheville, N.C. I know they've been a hit for awhile in other places, so I felt like I'd been missing out when I finally purchased my first gourmet ice-pop a few weeks ago. Chocolate Sea-Salt! Lemon-Lime-Grapefruit! Strawberries and Cream! I couldn't decide so I bought 3 for a total of $9. (To be fair, I gave one to a friend.)

Three dollars isn't so bad for an incredibly awesome cool summer treat, but in bigger cities, they can go for $5 (a little steep!). However, the best part about ice-pops is that you can make them at home really easily and for much cheaper. Once you get the hang of it, you can experiment with an endless amount of flavors and concoctions. Go buy a popsicle mold for about $4, and get ready to have some fun with gourmet ice-pops. Instead of a mold, you can also make pops with Dixie cups, and popsicle sticks (they make mini-pops!).

Here's 11 gourmet ice-pops you can make this summer.
